Kingfisher Lager Wins Monde Selection Gold
Kingfisher, the World’s No.1-selling Premium Indian Lager brand has won the highest accolade at this year’s Monde Selection 2008 held in Brussels.

Kingfisher Lager, brewed under licence in the UK by Shepherd Neame in Faversham, Kent, won the Grand Gold Award with Palm Leaves, which is awarded to products which have received between 90 and 100% of the competition Jury’s marks.

Brian Dozey, Marketing Director of Kingfisher UK Distributors, UBSN Ltd, said: “Kingfisher has won numerous awards around the world but this one is the big one and we are particularly pleased to have been awarded this accolade.”

Kingfisher Lager is sold in more than 95 per cent of the UK’s 8,000 licenced Indian restaurants, and is available in 330ml and 660ml bottles, as well as on draught. A 4.8 per cent ABV premium lager, Kingfisher Lager is brewed from the finest quality malted barley and hops. Connoisseurs of fine beer will recognise the clarity of taste and strength of ‘character’ for which Kingfisher has won international awards.

Whether you drink Kingfisher before, during or after your meal – or just by itself – you’ll experience one of the great authentic tastes of India.
